President Barack Obama Will Have to Bail Out Red Cross Too
58The American Red Cross
There Will Be Many More Bail Outs
"A mixture of the economic condition and numerous fires throughout the area over the past month have ended in donations for the Southwest Georgia of the American Red Cross dropping considerably in recent weeks."
“(Donations) have trickled down to almost nothing,” said Southwest Georgia ARC Executive Director Mari Wright. “We need the community to help us out.”
Why is the American Red Cross asking for help from the public? The American Red Cross receives no government financial support for the services Congress is mandating them to fulfill, which means they rely entirely on donations in order to function.
The American Red Cross helps to make ready communities for emergencies and keeps people safe every day thanks to caring individuals who support the work.
The Red Cross is just an example of the kind of effect this economy is having on people who use to donate to the American Red Cross.
President Barack Obama reaffirmed his committed to raise the taxes on those who earns $250,000.00 and above. Some people had already adjusted their lives before President Barack Obama reaffirmed his promise to raise their taxes.
Now more people who were holding out, and hoping that he would not, are now making plans to give less to charity. Some are planning to work less to get their income just below $250,000.00.
According a survey taken, even in the UK 35% of Britons will give less to charity next year.
Since the people who make $250,000.00 and above will have less money now because of taxation, President Barack Obama will have to support the American Red Cross also.
While the economy continues to decline, non-profit groups are also finding it harder to provide their services. Some are bracing for hard time, and not buying anything they don’t need.
The question is who will bail out the next family that suffers because of a house fire?
